LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which variation in luminance and luminance unevenness caused by deterioration of a light emitting element are suppressed.

SOLUTION: The light emitting device is equipped with; a pixel part having a plurality of pixels each of which includes a light emitting element; a voltage source which supplies a voltage to the pixel part; a correction data storing circuit part in which secular change data of the luminance characteristics of light emitting elements are stored; a memory circuit part in which accumulations of the numbers of gradation of each of the plurality of pixels are stored; a voltage correcting circuit which calculates the degree of deterioration in each of the plurality of pixels from the secular change data of the luminance of the light emitting elements and the accumulations of the numbers of gradation, and corrects the value of the voltage to be supplied to the pixel part from the voltage source in accordance with the degree of deterioration of one pixel so that a light emitting element included in the one pixel among the plurality of pixels emits light with a desired luminance; and a video signal correction circuit which corrects a video signal which is to be inputted to other pixels except for the one pixel so that the number of gradation in each of other pixels becomes a desired number of gradation.
