PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural analysis method of PA sugar chain capable of effectively using, for analysis, ions such as [M+H+2]<SP>+</SP>and [M+Na+2]<SP>+</SP>that are not conventionally analyzed. SOLUTION: In this mass spectrometry, a sample containing aminopyridine label sugar chain is MS-measured using an MALDI mass spectroscope, an ion (A) to/from which an ion X is added or desorbed in the sugar chain and an ion (B) having a mass number two larger than that of the ion (A) are obtained, and the ion (B) is used as a marker of the aminopyridine label sugar chain. In the sugar chain structural analysis method, a sample containing aminopyridine label sugar chain is MS-measured using the MALDI mass spectroscope, an ion (A) to/from which an ion X is added or desorbed in the sugar chain and an ion (B) having a mass number two larger than that of the ion (A) are obtained, and the ion (B) is selected as a precursor ion and MS/MS-measured using the MALDI mass spectroscope, thereby performing the structural analysis of the aminopyridine label sugar chain.
