PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric exciter which has a small size and a simple constitution to ensure a reliability of a drop strength against a dropping impact, and at the same time, has an excellent acoustic feature, and a panel-typed speaker. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric exciter is provided with a box-shaped cabinet and a piezoelectric element housed in the cabinet, and has a plate-like member 15 bonded to or formed integrally to a predetermined fixed area S in a bottom 13a of the cabinet 13.
