PROCESS FOR PREPARING PARA POLYAMIDE

Provided are a method for preparing a para-polyamide polymer to improve the solubility of a polymer in an amide-based solvent, and a polyamide fiber containing the para-polyamide polymer prepared by the method. The method comprises the steps of mixing calcium chloride with N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone to prepare a polymerization solvent; dissolving p-phenylene diamine in the polymerization solvent to prepare a solution and cooling it; and adding terephthaloyl chloride to the solution by two steps. Preferably 30 wt% of terephthaloyl chloride is added firstly, and 70 wt% of terephthaloyl chloride is added. Preferably the amount of calcium chloride is 6 wt% based on the amount of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone.
