PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of efficiently using a materialized view table in performing database processing in response to a plurality of inquiries. SOLUTION: The materialized view table generation method for generating a materialized view table comprises steps of detecting derivation tables used commonly in the plurality of inquiries and storing them in a storage device as a derivation table list; generating definition information for generating and storing a derivation table in the derivation table list as a materialized view table in the storage device and instructing generation of materialized view table by the definition information; and converting description in the inquiries to description using the generated materialized view table and storing it in the storage device.
