PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method for fluid capable of carrying out even and sufficient heat treatment of the fluid, without significantly increasing a facility cost. SOLUTION: The fluid Rb is supplied from one end of a horizontal type cylinder 2, screw blades 3 inscribing a cylinder 2 inner circumferential face is rotated while executing heat treatment of the fluid Rb, and the fluid Rb is transferred to another end and discharged. Transfer of the fluid Rb is executed by carrying out normal rotation and subsequent reverse rotation of the screw blades 3 once or repeatedly for plural times, and then carrying out normal rotation (the last normal rotation). Supply of the fluid Rb is carried out only in a state when mixing with the fluid Rb supplied last time by the last normal rotation can be avoided.
