PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing joining part seal structure which is provided in a joining part between a plurality of members constructing the housing of the refrigerant compressor and with which quantity of refrigerant gas leaking with permeating through an O-ring is little as compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: This housing joining part seal structure for the refrigerant compressor is provided with an O-ring, an O-ring groove storing the O-ring, and an O-ring holding part facing the O-ring groove and abutting on the O-ring and pressing the O-ring against the O-ring groove, and is provided in joining parts between a plurality of members constructing the housing of the refrigerant compressor. A groove facing the O-ring groove is formed on the O-ring holding part, a housing outer side surface of the O-ring groove and the housing outer side surface of the O-ring holding part form a flat surface and a section facing the groove of the O-ring holding part of the O-ring groove is raised.
