PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block of a V-type engine capable of reducing sound of various frequencies generated between a pair of banks, while restraining an increase in the number of part items. SOLUTION: In this cylinder block 1 of the V-type engine, the pair of banks are arranged in a substantially V shape. A sound absorbing member 6 is arranged in a space part 7 between the pair of banks, and a resonator chamber 9 resonating in a specific frequency is formed in its sound absorbing member 6.
