PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeposition coating method for forming a paint film of high quality, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method for electrodeposition-coating an article (9) to be coated while moving it in an electrodeposition liquid (7) accommodated in an electrodeposition tank (1) includes agitating the electrodeposition liquid (7), by sending the electrodeposition liquid (7) in the same direction (or opposite direction) as the direction (A) of the movement of the article (9), and simultaneously rotating the electrodeposition liquid (7) in a circumferential direction (C) of the electrodeposition tank (1) in a section vertical to the traveling direction (B) of the electrodeposition liquid (7).
