PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rigid heterocycle copolymer having both excellent tensile strength and compression strength; and to provide a method for producing the copolymer, and a molded article produced therefrom. SOLUTION: The copolymer comprises a repeating unit represented by formulas (A) and (B) (in the formulas, m is an integer of 1-4; X is one of O, S and NH; M is a halogen atom selected from fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine; Ar<SP>1</SP>is a 4-20C tetravalent aromatic group; and Ar<SP>2</SP>is a 4-20C aromatic group) and a specific repeating unit different therefrom.
