PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging bag by which an automatic packing by a machine can be performed in such a manner that the enclosing location for foods is determined while ensuring water absorbency by internally containing a water absorbent sheet such as a non-woven fabric, and in addition, which can surely perform heat-sealing for the opening end of the packaging bag. SOLUTION: In this packaging bag, the non-woven fabric 2 as the water absorbent sheet having approximately the same size as the bag is internally fitted. The right and left side sections and the lower end section of the non-woven fabric 2 are integrated by fusing together with the heat-sealing on the right and left side sections 3 and 3 and the lower end bottom section 4 of the packaging bag 1. The distal end 2a of the non-woven fabric 2 on the opening end 1c side of the packaging bag 1 is formed to be shorter so as to be located at a position being retracted to the inside of the bag by a specified distance L from the opening end 1c of the packaging bag 1. Thus, the packaging bag is constituted in such a manner that the distal end 2a of the non-woven fabric 2 is fixed by fusing to the internal surface of one surface of the packaging bag 1.
