The object is to provide a methanol fuel cell cartridge at low cost, which does not show deterioration in electric power generation ability, can be operated for a prolonged period of time, and can be reduced in size and weight. The methanol fuel cell cartridge has a inner resin layer which comprises a resin having such a property that, when a film of the resin is immersed in methanol at 60°C for 7 days and then the methanol is diluted twice by volume with distilled water at ambient temperature to give a solution, the solution shows a light transmittance of 10% or higher as measured at 300 nm.
