<p>The application describes an apparatus for freezing biological products. The apparatus comprises: a source of cryogenic liquid, a conveyor (61) for moving a plurality of vials containing the biological product (60) towards a trough (65) and means (63) for directing said cryogenic liquid to said trough, wherein at least some of said plurality of vials becomes partially immersed in said cryogenic liquid. The source of cryogenic liquid is also connected to a plurality of systems such as a cryocooling system, a cryogrinding system, an inerting and blanketing unit, a lyophilization unit and a fermentation unit.</p> |
