A pack with dissimilar packing areas is fitted to the flue duct (15) wall so as to be accessible to the noise waves. Viewed at right angles to the duct axis, the inside surround surface of the pack stands eccentric to the outside pack surround, using a circular inside surround and an outside surround surface which is off-circular and eccentric to the inside pack surface.
