Provided are a method for coating an inorganic electroluminescent phosphor to reduce the half-life of the phosphor to 1,000 hours or more, an inorganic electroluminescent phosphor prepared by the method, and an electronic product using the phosphor. The method comprises the steps of coating an inorganic electroluminescent phosphor with a silica sol; coating the silica sol-coated inorganic electroluminescent phosphor with TiO2 and SiO2; and coating the TiO2 and SiO2-coated inorganic electroluminescent phosphor with at least one component selected from the group consisting of an aminosilane, an epoxysilane, an alkylsilane, a fatty acid and a silicone oil. Preferably the inorganic electroluminescent phosphor is ZnO:Cu or ZnO:Mn having an average diameter of 20-30 micrometers.
