A dry powder inhalation formulation for once daily administration comprises salmeterol or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof and a diluent. Also provided is a unit dose inhalation formulation for once daily administration comprising salmeterol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester of other derivative thereof, wherein the formulation comprises from 25 to 50 mcg of active.
