A microorganism Zymomonas mobilis SMF 49212 producing alcohol is provided to increase alcohol production by promoting a TCA(tricarboxylic acid) cycle by using acetate as a substrate which is produced by alcohol fermentation. The alcohol-producing microorganism Zymomonas mobilis SMF 49212(KCTC 10795BP) is produced by inserting a gene related to acetate metabolism into Zymomonas mobilis, wherein the Zymomonas mobilis SMF 49212(KCTC 10795BP) is capable of growing at pH 4.7 or less and producing a large quantity of alcohol; and the gene related to acetate metabolism is YjcG gene(ActP), actP(permease), aceA(isocitrate lyase), msgG(malate synthase G), mdh(malate dehydrogenase), pta(phosphotransacetylase), ackA(acetate kinase A) or acs(acetyl-CoA synthetase).
