The invention relates to the building of bridges, viaducts, prefabricated structures, and is intended for carrying out hydro-insulation work. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the specific weight and to improve the thermo-insulating and damping properties of hydro-insulating material. The hydro-insulating material in Fig.1 consists of a multilayered impervious-to-water polymer-fibrous material connected on one side with an elastomer (4). According to the invention, the elastomer is made porous. The use of porous elastomer allows for a greater thickness of the hydro-insulating material without raising the consumption of elastomeric material. The rupture strength of the material becomes greater, with its thermo-insulating properties improved. The hydro-insulating material with thickness HM consisting of two layers (2, 3) of fibrous textile substance that are partially immersed in a layer of polymeric substance (1) placed between them. The thickness of the hydro-insulating portion of the material is Hm. The thickness of the layer of porous elastomer (4) connected with one of layers (2, 3) of the fibrous textile substance is HE.
