A filter apparatus is provided to extend the use time of a compression oil filter or the replacement time of a filter and to increase the filtering efficiency. A filtering medium with a bypass is equipped between an inlet(11) and an outlet(14) within a filter device(1). The filtering medium is an ultra-precision type filter and includes the first filtering medium(4). The bypass is a coarse particle type filter and includes the second filtering medium(2). The third filtering medium(3) is selectively arranged before the first filtering medium as a reserve filter. A control member(5) controls the stream of volume passing through the bypass.
