<p>A clock changing apparatus for synchronizing a pattern signal, which is in synchronism with a reference clock, with a variable clock based on a different oscillation source than the reference clock. The clock changing apparatus comprises a rate clock generating part that thins out the pulses of the reference clock, thereby generating a rate clock in which the number of pulses for a given period is approximately the same as the number of pulses in the variable clock for the given period; a pattern generating part that generates a pattern signal in accordance with the pulses of the rate clock; and a FIFO memory that stores the data of the pattern signal in accordance with the pulses of the rate clock and outputs the stored data in accordance with the pulses of the variable clock.</p> |
