<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setup control, unit a print processing system, a control method and a program for making it unnecessary for a user himself or herself to check the update of a set file, and for making it easy for the user to grasp a print environment where a printer is used. <P>SOLUTION: A set file update registration part 707 of a setup instruction system 701 of a server 101 registers the update information of a set file from a management console 700 in a set file update storage part 710. A setup history registeration part 709 registers setup history information when executing setup by using the set file by clients 102 to 104 in a setup history recording part 711.
