<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver that is convenient to a plurality of users. <P>SOLUTION: A recording region of a hard disk 10 includes personal regions corresponding to the plurality of users. Personal information such as a user name, program genre, program title, keyword and password is registered in each personal region. A control part 11 analyzes program information of each channel included in a digital broadcast signal received by a tuner part 1, automatically retrieves programs relating to the personal information, records corresponding programs and stores the programs in corresponding personal regions. Thus, the complexity of video recording reservation setting is eliminated and a user never forgets to record a program the user wants to watch. In addition, the recorded programs are prevented from being watched and erased by other users without the user's permission.
