APPARATUS, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR DRIVE CONTROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a tape library apparatus configured by mixing an encrypted data enabled drive device corresponding to a medium for reading/writing encrypted data and a non-encrypted data enabled drive device corresponding to a medium for reading/writing non-encrypted data.

SOLUTION: A drive control apparatus 40 is configured to repeatedly answer unavailability to a host device until an instruction designating an encrypted data enabled drive device to a medium with encrypted data stored thereon is sent or until an instruction designating the non-encrypted data enabled drive device to a medium with non-encrypted data stored thereon is sent.
