<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which permits appropriate control even in the case of BMC fault with expansion in circuit scale suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The computer system comprises a BMC (Baseband Management Controller) 102, a bus HUB section 103 for controlling connection/disconnection of a plurality of devices 106 to/from a path, a bus switching section 105, and a fault detection section 104 for notifying the bus HUB section and the bus switching section of a fault in the BMC if the fault in the BMC is detected. The bus HUB section disconnects a path 107 with the BMC in response to a notification from the fault detection section, and connects a path 109 with the bus switching section, the bus switching section notifies a management device of the state where the BMC can not operate because of the fault, via a path 110 and disconnects a path 108 with the BMC, and the management device is capable of accessing the devices via the bus switching section and the bus HUB section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
