PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel filler metal rod for TIG welding to a ferritic stainless steel for a high corrosion resistant structure, and to provide a welding method using the filler metal rod. SOLUTION: The ferritic stainless steel filler metal rod for TIG welding has a composition comprising, by mass,≤0.009% C,≤0.01% N, 0.25 to 0.40% Si, 0.10 to 0.20% Mn,≤0.020% P,≤0.002% S, 18.5 to 19.5% Cr, 0.050 to 0.060% T.Al,≤0.0070% O, 1.85 to 1.95% Mo, 0.01 to 0.30% Nb, 0.20 to 0.50% Ti,≤0.0005% Ca and one or more kinds selected from Ni, Cu, B and V, satisfying the conditions of Ti/Al<5 and (Ti+Nb)/(C+N)>30, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. In the welding method, using the filler metal rod, a steel with a sheet thickness of 0.7 to 1.2 mm is subjected to lap fillet single welding, and, a penetration bead welding is stably formed by perfect penetration.
