PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor with high withstand voltage property and safety by solving the problem that safety drops when withstand voltage is improved by thinning a film in the metallized film capacitor used for smoothing an inverter circuit for vehicle. SOLUTION: In a metallized film, a metal depositing electrode 2 is installed in one end of a widthwise direction of a dielectric film 1 by leaving a nonmetal depositing part 3, a low resistance part 4 is disposed in the other end, and a polarized electrode is arranged. A pair of metallized films are installed. The low resistance parts 4 are formed in opposite directions and a pair of the metal depositing electrodes 2 are wound to confront each other through the dielectric film 1. Electrodes 6 are formed on both ends and surface roughness of a face 1a on an electrode forming-side of the dielectric film 1 is made smaller than that of a face 1b of an electrode non-forming-side. Thus, advantages that respective parts have are displayed, safety property is improved on the side where face roughness is larger and withstand voltage property and life are improved on the side where roughness is smaller.
