PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming system capable of avoiding reduction of the image forming productivity caused by an edge part of a follow-on paper sheet overlapping on a rear end part of a precedent paper sheet stopping for post-processing as much as possible without bringing enlargement of a device. SOLUTION: In the image forming system composed of an image forming device body 1 and a post-processing device 100 provided with functions such as sorting and stapling of paper sheets, the paper sheet P1 sent from a discharging roller 29 of the image forming device body 1 to the post-processing device 100 is conveyed over a guide member 171 arranged in front of a punch unit 110, stopped once at a punching position, and punched. At the time, the guide member 171 is rotated once so as to cover the rear end part of the paper sheet P1. After that, the edge part of the conveyed follow-on paper sheet P2 is guided on an upper face of the guide member 171 and overlaps on the rear end part of the precedent paper sheet P1.
