PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the labor of an operator of frequent inspections at a site and facilitating mounting work of a compensating sheave and a guide rail, and maintenance work, by detecting a sign of elongation of a rope and warning the operator of the sign of elongation of the rope. SOLUTION: The compensating sheave 8 is provided with a first detected part 16 and a second detected part 24. The guide rail 9 has a rope elongation detecting part 17 provided on the lower part of the first detected part 16 for detecting a contact with the first detected part 16, and a rope elongation sign detecting part 22 provided on the lower part of the second detected part 24 for detecting a contact with the second detected part 24. The distance (b) between the second detected part 24 and the rope elongation sign detecting part 22 is shorter than a distance (a) between the first detected part 16 and the rope elongation detecting part 17.
