<p>A single-piece sealing profile is inserted into each joint (9), to lie flush with the front sides (7) of the panels (5). The width of the gap is less than that of the seal. Silicon rubber or other resilient material forms the seal. When installed, segments of the seal are overlapped by the panels at the edges, the shapes being matched. The front of the seal is convex. Other features of the seal include its sideward-projecting, covered lips and a closed internal cavity. The panels are high pressure laminates.</p> |
