<p>A pneumatic tire for heavy load, where the amount of strain occurring in side edge sections of a narrow belt layer on the inner layer side is suppressed to a sufficiently small level with the width of the belt layer kept wide according to requirement, which prevents separation of the belt layer and, in turn, prevents separation of a belt. Double-layered inner-layer-side narrow belt layers (1B, 2B) and double-layered outer-layer-side wide belt layers (3B, 4B) having greater width than the narrow belt layers are sequentially arranged on the outer circumference side of a crown region of a radial carcass (5). Portions of the wide belt layer (3B) adjacent to the outer circumference side of the double-layered narrow belt layers (1B, 2B) are formed in a shape protruding radially outward, the portions being those portions of the wide belt layer (3B) which correspond to the vicinities of side edges of the narrow belt layer (2B) on the outer circumference side.</p> |
