<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication print system and its control method for surely managing the security of print outputs from a plurality of printers by simple configuration without changing an already introduced network environment. <P>SOLUTION: This authentication print system is provided with a network/USB adapter 11 for storing a user authentication program, and for attachably/detachably connecting a portable authentication storage device 12 for storing print data to a network 30, an authentication print server 20 connected to a network 30 and a printer 13 connected to the network/USB adapter 11. When the portable authentication storage device 12 is connected, the authentication print server 20 performs user authentication relating to the print permission of print data stored in the authentication storage device 30 by performing a user authentication program stored in the authentication storage device, transmits print data whose print permission has been authenticated to the printer 13 to instruct print. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
