REPRODUCING DEVICE AND REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the possibility that musical compositions meeting a user's taste are recommended in a reproducing device capable of storing many musical compositions.

SOLUTION: A play list which has the titles of musical compositions and disclosed on a network and where contents can be updated by the user is used. A hard disk drive 26 for storing digital data of musical compositions and a transmitting and receiving circuit 28 for downloading the play list are provided. An LCD 11 for displaying the titles of the musical compositions included in the play list and keys 12 and 13 for designating one among the displayed titles are provided. A circuit 25 for extracting digital data from the hard disk device 26 when the digital data of musical compositions designated by the keys 12 and 13 is stored in the hard disk drive 26 and an output circuit 34 for outputting the extracted digital data as an audio signal are provided.
