<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and the like for appropriately managing information regarding a product and components thereof from a point of view of improvement in the quality of service for users. <P>SOLUTION: In a product information management system according to the present invention, a first processing unit 121 transmits a component division, component identifier and latest component state corresponding to a product identifier transmitted from a first terminal 210 to the first terminal 210 and transmits relevant recognition information to a second terminal 220 together with said product identifier.
