<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind load-reducing device for reducing wind load on a generator or a building in which the generator is installed while continuously operating the generator to generate power during strong wind such as typhoon. <P>SOLUTION: The wind load-reducing device comprises two vent holes 30a, 30b forming a wind channel for rotating a windmill of a wind power generator provided therein, a wind velocity sensing plate 31 for falling down at a preset wind velocity or higher, a closing plate 33 having a plurality of slit openings 32 and turning around the windmill of the wind power generator for closing the two vent holes 30a, 30b at the preset wind velocity or higher, and a turning inhibiting member 34 arranged between the wind velocity sensing plate 31 and the closing plate 33 for inhibiting the turning of the closing plate 33 with the thrust of the closing plate 33 until reaching the preset velocity or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
