PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current drive circuit and a current boosting method for quick-mode conversion of a current mode bus interface system which transmits/receives data through current. SOLUTION: The current drive circuit includes an operation voltage sensing circuit which senses the voltage of a driving node, compares the voltage of the driving node with a reference voltage and forms a comparison signal; a control circuit which forms a control signal so that a current is driven to the drive node according to the comparison signal; and a current driver which drives with current the drive node, based on the control signal, or a current driver for providing a current from the drive node. The current boost method comprises a step which senses the voltage of the drive node, compares the voltage of the drive node with reference voltage and forms the comparison signal; a step which forms the control signal so that a current is driven to the drive node corresponding to the comparison signal, and a step which provide the drive node the current required for the voltage of the drive node to serve as an operating point corresponding to the control signal.
