PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality of an invisible toner image formed on a recording medium together with a visible toner. SOLUTION: In a printer 10, a print engine 12i for forming an invisible toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 14 by using i-toner is arranged on the upstream side of print engines 12Y, 12M, 12C and 12K for forming visible toner images on the intermediate transfer belt 14 by using YMCK toner in the rotating direction of the intermediate transfer belt 14, and the (i) toner image is formed on the lowermost layer of the intermediate transfer belt 14.
