PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device on which an electronic component is mounted with sufficient accuracy using a recognition mark, a method for manufacturing the electro-optic device, a substrate for the electro-optic device and an electronic device having the electro-optic device. SOLUTION: Since a circuit board 3 has a recognition mark member 26 having two parallel sides 26b, 26c opposite to each other and a protection film 25 in which an electrode 30 whose two sides 30a, 30b are arranged in parallel with two sides 26a, 26b, an aperture 27 whose two sides 27a, 27b cross the two sides 26b, 26c and an aperture 31 whose two sides 31a, 31b cross two sides 30a, 30b are formed, even when a forming position of the aperture 27 of the protection film 25 is shifted to the recognition mark member 26, area of an exposed part T1 and area of a part T2 covered with the protection film 25 become the same, recognition marks 21a etc. in the same shape are always formed, positions of terminal parts 22, 23 to the recognition marks 21a, 21b become constant and the electronic component 24 can be mounted with sufficient accuracy.
