PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for loading film into a lens-fitted photo film unit container, the apparatus having simple configuration and being suitable for manufacturing a small quantity of lens-fitted photo film units. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a temporary housing section for a lens-fitted photo film unit container located on a base at the rear, in which film having through-holes is housed; a support rod engaged with a rail located on the base such that the support rod can move back and forth; a film cartridge temporary holder fixed on the support rod; a main lever which extends right and left, wherein one end of the main lever forms a handle and the other end is rotatably journaled on the support rod; a film winder fixed on the main lever; a light sensor which detects the through-hole in the film; an auxiliary rod which rotates in conjunction with the main lever, wherein one end of the auxiliary rod is journaled concentrically with the main lever; and a guide member which guides the other end of the auxiliary rod which rotates in conjunction with the rotation of the main lever from the starting position from the front of the base to the rear while regulating the heightwise position of the other end.
