<p>In a container closure having a cap of the pry-off or screw-off type, a gasket is employed obtained by drying down a latex containing a lubricant which does not soften the rubber. Lubricants specified include bees, paraffin, carnauba, candellila, Montan, or Chinese insect wax, oils or fats and liquid or solid glycerides such as castor oil and Japan wax which have no adverse effect on rubber. Other ingredients and fillers may be present. A preformed emulsion of the lubricant may be added to a latex composition or the lubricant may be emulsified therein.
