PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of conventional ultraviolet light lamps, in which it is difficult to irradiate by converging on a line segment, and to provide an ultraviolet light irradiation system which prevents adverse effects on workpieces caused by heat dissipation from an apparatus and thus can be used for the workpieces not withstanding intense heat. SOLUTION: A focus of ultraviolet light emitted from an ultraviolet light emitting diode 3 is converged on the line segment by a lens 4, and the work piece 5 is irradiated by the ultraviolet light having energy converged on a focal line 6. The ultraviolet light emitting diode is used for reducing generation of heat. The lens 4 and a protective cover 2 are used for separating the work piece 5 from the apparatus in order to prevent effects of the apparatus on the work piece 5. A heat radiation part is provided directly in a control part 1 arranged in the rear so as to smoothly dissipate heat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
