PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding tool capable of suppressing an increase of grinding resistance and generation of chipping and crack with little generation of shape collapse. SOLUTION: This grinding tool 1 is provided with a groove 4 at an outer peripheral end face of a substrate 3 provided with a hole 2 for mounting at the center. The shape of the groove 4 is formed into a U-shape comprising a smooth curved surface according to a chamfered shape of a material to be cut. In the groove 4, abrasive grains are fixed to the substrate 3 and regularly arranged. At a bottom surface of the groove 4, a V-shaped groove functioning as a grinding liquid reservoir is formed. The regular arranging pattern of the abrasive grains can be changed according to a grinding purpose. As for only a part of the abrasive grain arrangement, pitch of the abrasive grain arrangement can be changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
