At an intersection in each of two tubes (12,14) there are partly cylindrical inserts (18,20) adapted to each of their inner diameters. One insert forms a base for the head of a screw (22) extending through aligned transverse holes in the tubes. Another insert forms a support for the screw's shank. An independent claim is also included for a tubular frame made up of tubes crossing over each other.
