<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone of a new system in which a sliding mechanism and folding mechanism are integrated. <P>SOLUTION: The portable telephone comprises a first device body having a display unit, a second device body having an operating part, and a pair of connecting poles for connecting both device bodies at their respective ends.
