<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head for exposure which can be made long in life and reduced in power consumption, and to provide a method of driving a head for exposure. <P>SOLUTION: The exposure head H is equipped with a first light emitting part for exposure Ha1 with organic EL elements 33 which respectively eject light to each exposure spot that composes the light in the shape of a line, and a second light emitting part for exposure Ha2 with organic EL elements 33 which respectively eject light to each exposure spot that similarly composes the light in the shape of a line. A film thickness of a light emitting layer which constitutes the organic EL element 33 of the second light emitting part Ha2 is formed larger than a film thickness of a light emitting layer which constitutes the organic EL element 33 of the first light emitting part Ha1. At each exposure spot, the organic EL elements 33 of the first light emitting part Ha1 are made to emit light in the case of exposure by low-luminance emission, while the organic EL elements 33 of the second light emitting part Ha2 are made to emit light in the case of exposure by high-luminance emission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
