PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional porous body including dry gels cannot form gradient of the acoustic impedance, the thermal conductivity, the dielectric constant, and the surface area in the dry gels because the composition of the dry gels is uniform. SOLUTION: The porous body including dry gels is, e.g. the porous body including disk-shaped drying gels, the porous body has a density gradient in a direction of the z axis (in the thickness direction of disks) and a density gradient the middle part of which is lower in a direction of the x axis (in a horizontal direction with respect to disk faces). When the ultrasonic transceiver is configured by using the porous body for an acoustic matching layer where a sound wave travels in a direction of the -z axis, such an advantage that a region for transceiving an ultrasonic wave can be narrowed by the lens effect is obtained in addition to the enhanced efficiency of the transmission/reception of the ultrasonic wave.
