PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an electroluminescent display element to display an image with high luminance and to compose the electroluminescent display element at a low cost. SOLUTION: This electroluminescent display element is composed by stacking a white support body 10, an optically-transparent first electrode layer 11, a first insulation layer 12, an EL emission layer 13 formed by dispersing electroluminescence emission particles 20 for emitting light of a predetermined color in a dielectric binder 25, a second insulation layer 14, an optically-transparent second electrode layer 15, a thin-film support body 16, a color conversion filter layer 17 having a color conversion part and/or a transmission part (filter part), and a protective layer 18 in that order. An X-Y matrix electrode is formed with the first electrode layer 11 and the second electrode layer 15, and the EL emission layer 13 is uniformly formed all over. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
