PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of sufficiently securing the telescopic stroke and the collapse stroke, and enhancing the deflection preventive effect of a displacement preventive member. SOLUTION: A displacement preventive member 50 is within an inner circumference 131B of an inner column 13B over the entire stroke for the telescopic positional adjustment of a steering wheel 11. Thus, even when a gap between an outer circumference 51A of a cylindrical part 51 of the displacement preventive member 50 and the inner circumference 131B of the inner column 13B is set to be as small as 0.1 mm, the telescopic positional adjustment and the collapse movement can be performed smoothly. When the steering wheel is forcibly turned in a locked state, an outer shaft 12A is deflected in the direction separate from a lock key 43. However, the outer circumference 51A of the cylindrical part 51 of the displacement preventive member 50 is abutted on the inner circumference 131B of the inner column 13B to prevent the outer shaft 12A from being deflected.
