PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for a molding decoration material in which the occurrence of breakage, whitening, and print dislocation are prevented during molding and which can be molded in deep drawing and in a complex shape and is excellent in appearance and productivity. SOLUTION: In the polyester film for the molding decoration material, a polyester layer A containing an ethylene terephthalate unit or an ethylene naphthalate unit as a main component and having a melting point of 245-270°C is formed on at least one side outermost layer of a substrate polyester film having a single or composite layer structure. The orientation coefficient of the surface on the polyester A side is 0.120-0.160, the tensile strength in all directions of the substrate polyester film is at least 150 MPa, and the ratio (maximum/minimum) between the maximum and minimum of an ultrasonic wave conduction velocity in all directions is 1.0-1.4.
