TREATMENT METHOD AND TREATMENT APPARATUS OF SELENIUM-CONTAINING WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and treatment apparatus for selenium-containing water in which the effect of removing the selenium included in wastewater is excellent and the use effect of iron particulates is excellent. SOLUTION: The treatment method and treatment apparatus of the selenium-containing water comprise using the iron particulates of a minimum grain size 2μm to maximum grain size 350μm and average grain size <200μm in the treatment method for bringing the selenium-containing water into contact with the iron particulates in a reaction chamber to deposit the selenium and removing the deposited selenium from the wastewater. For example, the selenium-containing water is brought into contact with the iron particulates in the reaction chamber to deposit the selenium and thereafter, a slurry containing the iron particulates and the deposited metal selenium suspension is introduced to a wet cyclone. The ion particulates and the deposited metal selenium suspension are separated in the wet cyclone and the metal selenium suspension is removed to the outside of the system. The whole or a part of the slurry containing the iron particulates recovered in the wet cyclone is returned to the reaction chamber and recycled for the deposition of the selenium.
