POLYAMIDE MONOFILAMENT FOR WOVEN FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide monofilament for a woven fabric having excellent abrasion resistance and sufficient tensile strength and elongation and especially suitable as a constituent material for the industrial woven fabric such as a papermaking press felt base fabric. SOLUTION: The polyamide monofilament for the woven fabric is obtained from a thermoplastic resin composition of 80-99.7 wt.% of a polyamide resin and 20-0.3 wt.% of a cyclic olefin-copolymer resin. The polyamide monofilament satisfies the relationship of formula Y≥-70X2+330X when the breaking time with calcium carbonate abrasion is Y (min) and the diameter of the monofilament is X (mm).
